So far in the story Ben’s “dragons” have been Aunt Rose and Gully. He seems to have “slayed” the Aunt Rose “dragon” but Gully is a work in progress. For example, every once in awhile Ben finds himself amused and surprised by Gully’s behavior but other times he quickly reminds himself not to like him based on his original opinion stemming from his old teacher.
In chapters five and six, Ben is rather interested in Gully’s play with Aunt Rose’s neighbor Hana.
